- Technical Stack: Databricks, PySpark, SQL, dbt, Terraform, Apache Airflow
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions using Databricks, PySpark, and Apache Spark.
- Build and optimize data workflows to support data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain Lakehouse architecture using Databricks and Delta Lake to ensure data reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Work with cloud storage and data processing services such as Amazon S3, AWS EMR, or equivalent platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Big Data development.
- Prior experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Fintech is preferred.
2. Core Technical Skills
- Terraform & IaC: Hands-on experience writing Terraform for cloud resources; practical experience using the Databricks Terraform Provider to manage workspaces, Unity Catalog, compute clusters, or access permissions.
- Databricks & Lakehouse: Strong understanding of the Databricks platform, Delta Lake internals, and centralized data governance via Unity Catalog.
- Distributed Data Processing: Proficiency in PySpark (or Apache Spark) and query optimization; hands-on experience with cloud storage and processing services (Amazon S3, AWS EMR, or equivalent).
- dbt & Advanced SQL: Strong command of complex SQL (window functions, CTEs, performance tuning); practical experience building data models with dbt.
- Orchestration: Experience scheduling and managing data workflows with Apache Airflow or Databricks Workflows.
3. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
- Familiarity with event streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, AWS MSK) or CDC tools.
- Professional certifications are an advantage:
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate
- Basic domain understanding of financial transaction flows, account ledgers, reconciliation, or payment systems.
